As a responsible corporate, Wockhardt Hospitals Group puts a foot forward and observed International Women’s Day by conducting awareness workshops on Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Breast cancer topics by an in-house specialist doctor under the “I am fearless” campaign.

During this workshop, doctors communicated common day-to-day female reproductive organ issues and how they can prevent any major disease by learning and doing daily self-examination and understanding the importance of screening at an early stage. Post this workshop organized an interactive session between Doctors and the Audience along with a short Q&A session. Followed by free OPD to whom it is required.

Wockhardt Hospitals group-wide started the “I am fearless” campaign on 01st March, a scheduled week-long event of free examination of the Papanicolaou test / Mammography Test for all their female in-house – Outsourced staff and their immediate family members.

The initiative was observed across Wockhardt Group hospitals in Mumbai Central, Mira Road, Nagpur, Nashik, and Rajkot locations that had a total number of more than 1700 Female staff (Include Nursing/Admin/ Housekeeping team and other department associates, etc.)

Keeping in line with the Wockhardt Hospitals’ motto the Women’s Day celebration was a grand success with all Wockhardt Hospitals women staff enjoying and learning things of their interest. Wockhardt Hospitals celebrated Women’s Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. A wonderful event was organized at   Rashtrabhasha Hall on 8th March 2023 @ 3 p.m. for all female staff and invitees. The event arranged a small session about Smart savings, Effective parenting, and Health after the ’40s, which was very apt in today’s scenario.

Further Wockhardt Hospitals also organized a Miss Wockhardt competition, fun games, and mesmerizing dance performances for the invitees. The dress code for this event was a pink and yellow color. Yellow is for happiness, hope, and spontaneity. It’s the color of the sun, with smiley faces and sunflowers. Yellow color is a happy and youthful color, and it grabs your attention with its hope and positivity. Pink is a nurturing, playful, and nostalgic color that takes people back to their childhoods. And the beautiful colors were reflecting the mood of the event in the personality of the invitees.

And lastly, it’s the Wockhardt way that celebrates womanhood and her strength thereby giving a beautiful message that “Feminism is not about making women stronger, it’s about changing the way, the world perceives that strength. ” And Wockhardt Hospitals has done that perfectly.

Ms. Zahabiya Khorakiwala, Managing Director, Wockhardt Hospitals, said, “Women are a unique combination of hard work and responsibility. It is important that we all come together to celebrate, inspire and support each other. We are happy to carry out workshops for their health and overall well-being this women’s day”

The women gangs at Wockhardt Western region were also treated to an evening of laughter, fun, and frolic to a special stand-up show by XYZ comedian who enthralled the audience to the extent that all were in splits.   This was a major de-stress session that every female employee enjoyed the most. The day ended with scrumptious refreshments and exchanges of pleasantries.

The event concluded with a celebratory cake-cutting.
