Emergency medical facility saves patient suffering from gall bladder infection

A 52 year old  was brought to the Emergency Department of Wockhardt Hospitals in Mira Road with sudden onset severe, excruciating pain in the abdomen and fever.

On examination the doctors  shifted to the CT scan department immediately,his scan revealed  empyema of Gall bladder secondary to cholecystitis, i.e. severe infection in the gallbladder which was full of pus.

Dr. Brijesh Dube, Consultant Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon after consultation decided that the only way to save patients was to perform an emergency surgery, Laparoscopic holecystectomy.

The Patient was comfortable after the surgery, and discharged after 2 days. Patient and his relatives were very  relieved and grateful that they came to Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira road and appreciated the fact that all emergency services were functional and  doctors were  available despite the nationwide lockdown.
